I wrote a mock email pitch to Evie Blad at Education Week regarding a recent study performed by BYU.
I was asked to promote Moon Scooters, a start-up company in Provo, Utah. I created a 60-second commercial for Moon Scooters that included in-person interviews, b-roll shots, and video editing in the Davinchi Resolve Video Programming.
I held a focus ground about in-person vs. online education, and which students tend to prefer. This required promoting the focus group. I reached out to students, both close friends and those I didn’t know by promoting the focus group around the campus. I moderated the event, and found that overall, most students preferred an in-person learning environment. Moderating the event required me to lead the conversation in one direction over another. I also had to ask leading questions that would spark a stronger conversation.
I wrote a ten-page research paper about cancel culture. I discussed the psychology of cancel culture and its relevance to the Public Relations industry. I listed several opportunities of cancel culture for business but also listed several limitations to the cancel culture ideology. I provided examples of cancel culture, including case studies on the reality TV series The Bachelor, the Washington Commanders, and the Ellen Degeneres Show.
I worked on a team of students hired by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Missionary department. We found data from ads displayed on different mobile platforms, like Facebook and Google. We used excel to calculate data and formulate bar graphs and plot charts. We summarized our findings and gave our recommendations to the departments based on the data we collected.
I worked with a group of students to promote the Covid-19 Vaccine. We completed extensive research about vaccine hesitancy in Utah, completed SWOT analysis, and discovered the core problem and opportunity.
This is an example of a social media post I have completed for a prominent leader in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I created the script, filmed the video, and edited the content.
I developed a travel instagram page to practice my social media creation skills. I feature different locations around the world, providing the best places to eat and things to do, even if the length of vacation is short.
This is an example of a media brief I create nightly in my position as the Media Relations Administrative Assistant. I use Meltwater to capture mentions of the church domestically and globally.
